£19,000 pro rata plus performance related pay

Mi-life is an exciting new venture for Guideposts and builds on our experience of providing high quality, information and advice around mobility issues and independent living. The mi-life centres and e-commerce platform sell a wide range of mobility equipment and are run on a ‘not-for-profit’ basis. This enables us to put the funds we make back into the Guideposts charity to fund a range of much-needed community services.

Guideposts is a multi-disciplinary social care and mental health network focused first and foremost upon PEOPLE. As a charity we have over 40 years’ experience meeting the needs of individuals who face any number of complex challenges; from autism, learning disability and mental health conditions, to physical disability and age-related conditions, such as dementia, sensory impairment and mobility problems. Whether through active care and support services, information advice and guidance or independent living and training projects; Guideposts exists in order to connect people and their carers with opportunities.

We are now seeking new members to join our team and have an exciting opportunity for a mobility centre advisor. You will be working as part of a group of mobility centres across Oxfordshire, Dorset, Devon, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire.

We are looking for staff who have a good understanding of our product range and be able to advise on the appropriate products.

We retail a large variety of mobility and independent living products in-store and on-line. We want to recruit people who will care about our customers and believe in providing the right products and the best customer service to make a difference.

You will demonstrate equipment to customers, process sales, handle cash and credit card transactions, maintain the appearance of the showroom including stock display, stock levels and ensure all stock is bar coded and correctly priced.

You will have proven experience of retail - ideally within a mobility centre environment and have experience of using computer order processing systems.

Have a caring and patient manner with excellent communication skills being able to clearly communicate with customers and colleagues
